Local_Universe database

The Local_Universe database contains galaxy group catalogues for the local Universe. Groups have been constructed using two datasets: the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) Redshift Survey (2MRS) and combined dataset, which includes 2MRS data, CosmicFlows-2 survey (CF2), and 2M++ catalogue. The 2MRS data have been used to identify groups with two methods: a Friends-of-Friends (FoF) finder and a Bayesian group finder based on marked/object point processes.

The database contains the following tables:

The group/cluster identification numbers, groupid, are independent in the Bayes, 2MRS, and combined datasets.

The data in the Local_Universe database have been compiled with the following assumptions about cosmology: the Hubble constant H0 = 67.8 km s-1 Mpc-1, the matter density Ωm = 0.308 and the dark energy density ΩΛ= 0.692.
